A slender metall vase in characteristic trumpet form with a flared rim and a deep brown, almost blackish patina tone. Geometric ornaments in silver are inlaid into the metal: stripes, lozenges and abstract patterns forming a striking contrast to the dark ground. The combination of a clean silhouette and elaborate inlay work is typical of the highly decorative Art Déco metalwork of the early 1930s.
