WMF Myra trumpet glass in bronze and blue

This mouth-blown glass trumpet vase has an exceptional iridescent surface that shifts from warm bronze-gold to deep blue-violet depending on the angle of light — a technique brought to perfection above all by the Bohemian glassworks Loetz Witwe in Klostermühle. The flaring bell rests on a flat, domed foot; the overall form is clean and undecorated, placing the material surface effect entirely in the foreground. Pieces of this type stand at the transition between Jugendstil and Art Déco.
