Opaline glass bowl, Andre Hunebelle, model Kactus

Shallow round bowl in opalescent pressed glass with a spike-crown motif radiating from the centre toward the rim. The milky-blue opalescent glass shimmers in cool blue and white tones depending on the light. Bowls and coupes of this type were produced in large series by French manufacturers such as Verlys, Sabino and Etling during the 1920s and 1930s and are characteristic objects of Art Déco glass design.
