An impressive WMF Ikora necklace in silver-plated metal with large, stepped links. The links are strung on a fine snake chain. Geometrically tiered metal link necklaces were a fashion phenomenon in the 1920s and 1930s, directly embodying the machine-like aesthetic ideals of Art Deco – influences from the Bauhaus jewelry workshop and contemporary Parisian fashion jewelers are evident.
