Table Mirror with Fan-Shaped Frame, Gilt and Silvered

A freestanding, semicircular table mirror with an elaborately designed frame of gilded and silvered wood in the shape of a stylized fan. The geometric sunburst and shell ornaments, as well as the tiered wooden base, are typical stylistic elements of the High Art Deco style of the early 1930s. Such dressing mirrors adorned the vanities and reception rooms of the upper classes.
